Michael Whiteside II, PhD, LCSW

Dr. Michael Whiteside II is a innovative mental health expert specializing in interpersonal relationships involving family, marital, peer, romantic, and occupational dynamics. His work involves assisting individuals and agencies in recognizing, dissecting, and understanding the mechanics and the impact that relationships have on individual satisfaction and overall fulfillment. For organizations, Dr. Whiteside’s approach uncovers how personal individual relationships are mirrored, replayed, and impact the overall functioning of the organization, specifically in areas such as burnout, employee satisfaction, employee retention, stress regulation, and occupational intimacy as described in his Success Management™ model. Dr. Whiteside brings an arsenal of clinical approaches, rapport building enhancements, and inventive tactics to any agency initiative or mission.

As a clinician, Michael has served in various clinical settings including outpatient private practice, college counseling centers, and psychiatric inpatient care during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout his career, he believes in highlighting patients’ strengths, full understanding of their environment and associated impacts on self-image and self-efficacy, as well as the automatic mental processes that hinder the life deserved, not just accepted. Dr. Whiteside uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet the patient’s unique needs while focusing mainly on the implicit and nonconscious aspects of life that contribute and create suffering as derived from his training at the Institute for Clinical Social Work that materialized in his PhD in Clinical Social Work. He also balanced this approach with procedural methods such as CBT as derived from his Master of Social Work from Indiana University Bloomington. Dr. Whiteside wholeheartedly believes in seeing the full person, assessing their suffering in their unique cultural experience, and proving care that matters most to the patient and the patient’s priorities.

Dr. Michael Whiteside serves as General Partner, which involves providing strategic vision for the entire organization, managing various administrative aspects including business development, and stakeholder relationship management with various community partners. He balances this work with being the Clinical Director which centers on providing clinical focus and direction for all staff, managing and implementing clinical supervision, patient satisfaction and referral growth, as well as design and implement the cooccurring services such as mental health consulting, workshop and training facilitation, and community education on common workplace mental health challenges under his Success Management™ model.

Our Approach

Reclaim.

Reclaiming is the choice to take back the internal power that has been misplaced, forgotten, or unrealized. It is the process of identifying the areas in your life that have drained you of your greatest power and deciding to take that power back. It is an internal growth that produces external change. It is realigning your life in a way that celebrates all of you and maintains this returned power.

Redefine.

Redefining is the process of reclaiming ownership of ones’ life, it is challenging present circumstances in an effort to obtain a life worth living. It is deciding to reframe limiting beliefs, doubt, and fear in an effort to maximize your greatest potential. It is making the choice to give yourself freedom as you reorganize life to fit your goals, dreams, and passions.

Restore.

Restoring is the process utilizing one’s reclaimed power to redefine the present circumstances. It is resting and residing in one’s own power to live as the most authentic and unapologetic self. It is realigning your life experience to celebrate all that you are and being able to live in that celebration. It is restructuring life to be all that you desire it to be.
